We aim to maintain a high standard of hygiene and children are encouraged to wash their hands after going to the toilet and before eating. Inhalers which are sent to school should be clearly labeled with the child's name and instruction in its use should be given to the child's teacher
If your child feels unwell in school, we will contact parents/carers and if possible arrange for the child to be taken home. For this reason, it is important that children who are feeling unwell are not sent to school. It is difficult for us to provide them with the comfort they need in these circumstances.
On entry to school parent’s/care takers are requested to complete an application form identifying any medical conditions a child may have and indicating names and telephone numbers of responsible adults who may be contacted at any time during the school day in the event of accident or illness.
It is vital that parent’s/care takers inform school of any change of address, landline or mobile phone numbers so that your emergency contacts can be kept up to date. .
